I am wondering if anybody has any recommendations or ideas for good places to go in search of treatment. I don’t want to finally tell my family and go somewhere and come out worse than I was before.

And also, if anybody knows of any good ED Recovery books or selfhelp books and things like that, it’d be sooo helpful. =]

Nergal Junior’s BFF asked:

I’m a 15 year old girl and I am on medicine for depression. Still, even with that I get feeling really bad sometimes. It makes me overeat, and want to sit at the computer all day long to take my mind off it. But I don’t want to get fat so I force myself to exercise off everything I overate, and if I don’t then I’m a wreck for days.
I know that I have an eating disorder. I am getting help for it, thats not the point of my question. The point is that I can hardly feel happy any more. In about 3 days I will be going on a 3-week vaccation across the country and I will see my closest friend in the world. The month I’m on that vaccation is always the happiest of the year, but I can’t feel happy. Not a bit. I just feel sad and irritated and irrationally angry. I’ve been yelling and spitting at everyone all day long, the very presence of another person in the same room irritates me.
