how am i supposed to do any of these things if i have no energy, no interest, if i don&#8217;t even feel alive? where am i supposed to get the effort from? the determination and persistence? because i don&#8217;t feel it. and without those things..i fail at all the possible treatments.and PLEASE don&#8217;t tell me i just have to force myself. or if you are going to say that..tell me HOW. saying &#8220;just make yourself do it anyway&#8221; to a depressed person is like saying &#8220;just walk across the room anyway&#8221; to someone with no legs.<br />
i&#8217;ve tried most of the anti-depressants out there with no luck.<br />
i am not suicidal..i WANT to live. but i just don&#8217;t feel alive.<br />
i&#8217;ve had anxiety for 10 years and depression for about 4..but it&#8217;s gotten worse in the past year. </p>
<p>i &#8216;ve been checked for thyroid diseases and anemia..etc..<br />
the problem is that i&#8217;ve LOST interest in things. i know what i love..animals, music, nature, hiking&#8230;lots of things that i used to do but now just seem pointless or not worth the effort or i just don&#8217;t have the energy.<br />
&#8220;Peace&#8221; : my therapist has told me that too. but my problem is that if i get up and take a shower, and that&#8217;s all i do, i think to myself..so what? i took a shower. i wanna be living life and this is all i can do. it actually makes me feel worse.<br />
i just wish i could feel inspired. or excited about something.<br/><br/></div>
