Whatever helps you ancient sport. Personally, when I’m feeling blue, I whip a member of the working class, or sink a bottle of Hendrick’s Gin.

Never heard of ciggarettes helping depression. Don’t reckon they do.

If anything, smoking CAUSES stress and depression. Smoking is not excellent for anything except an early death. You should join a quit smoking club.

There is some effect on anxiety, but not on depression. Go get some medication, and some exercise; that will work much better.

Cigarettes have other things in them besides nicotine, that are also psychoactive. They also make tobacco very addictive. And remember, it can kill you over time.

Public sometimes turn to cigarettes if they are upset since it relaxes you. The only problem with this is that it makes it hard to quit smoking and can cause you to smoke more if you depend on them for stress-relief.

No it does not. You will become addicted to those small f*ckers and will become even more depressed. I smoke cigs every once in a while but that’s only if they are there in my reached. This may sound terrible but try smoking marijuana, if you live in one of the states that has medical marijuana. Tell your doctor you don’t believe in taking pills, he’ll give you a MM card. Depression will be gone in no time and you have no risk in getting cancer.

Nicotine doesn’t “cure” depression, but studies have shown that it does have various remedial effects on the brain, which is partly why it is so addictive in some public. The problem is the delivery logic, via cigarettes, pipe tobacco, and cigars, which has damaging effects on the lungs. Nicotine can be very useful hostile to anxiety and other problems, but until they come up with a better way to administer it, you should seek pharmaceutical help prescribed by a doctor.
