Sorry to say the excellent ol’ Christian way of organized religion to dealing with depression is, “Honey, God wouldn’t give you the cross if he didn’t reckon you could carry it.”
So I wouldn’t urge preaching it Sister.
C.S. Lewis wrote some books dealing with the topic, especially after his wife died. Check out “The Problem of Pain” and “A Grief Observed.”
Edited to Add: I would deliberate C.S. Lewis to be a fantastic Man of God and he suffered from depression. It is since we are human. It happens and I commend you for tackling it and including a Biblical perspective. There are characters in the Bible who suffered from this as well. In fact, there is a fantastic article in Time magazine this week that shows Care for Theresa dealing with feelings of inadequacy and depression.
Depression in Christians comes from ignoring the Original Kingdom Gospel. Get back to the original Gospel and those kind of problems will just vanish.
Try heading to and typing in “depression” for the search.
There are 10+ pages of titles, including “How to Win Over Depression” by Tim LaHaye. Place some of the titles into the Amazon search to get reviews.
I can’t urge any personally, but this should give you an thought of what’s out there.
I know that Joyce Myers has a book on depression and I can’t reckon of the guy’s name that appeared on her show with her when she was discussing this topic. But, the name of his book was “Blue Genes”.Try and find those books to see if they help.
