I don’t really know any books but I know that I can help you know depression. here is a site that I have read over containing 10 E-Book’s that will help you know depression and deal with it. http://depression.about.com/od/generalinfo/tp/ebooks.htm Try number 7. “How to heal depression” first. But for alcoholism I am of no help….my uncles an alcoholic so I have studied somethings about it, but I don’t know much.
Overcoming depression, by Windy Dryden
There is a paperback book titled “Under the Influence: A Guide to the Myths and Realities of Alcoholism”, by James Robert Milam and Katherine Ketcham. You should be able to get it in any bookstore. It is an brilliant book on alcoholism, and also talks about depression and other causes, effects and results of alcoholism.
I have found this book very useful in understanding depression.
